We have received some kind messages from individuals willing to volunteer to help our organization, and we couldn’t be more appreciative! Since our last board meeting, we have been working on evaluating all aspects of our organization and how it can be improved and run more efficiently, and consequently, pin-point exactly where our volunteers are needed. So in the next couple months we will be posting advertisements for our volunteers, so they can donate their time to an area that fits their interest, expertise and experience.
As we are still a relatively young company, right now we are look for some volunteer to work as publicists for The Dance Collaborative, to spread the word about us throughout the community.
PUBLICISTS JOBS WOULD INCLUDE {but is not limited to}:
- getting performances and articles in local media
- helping distribute posters and other printed information
- getting business to promote through their companies and websites
- any additional help online (social media and blogging)
- mostly organizing all of the above, and delegating (leg work CAN be done by others as well)
- also known as a PR Rep
- help TDC increase their visibility, so as to grow in donors and as an organization
